| Now that I'm coming home NEXT SATURDAY (Ohhhh Yeahhhhhhh), my building excitement and the overall experience of college has really let me know how dear all my high school friends really are to me. Even though we don't talk near as often as the good ole Siegel days, I find more and more that when I need a pick me up or am stressed to the point of giving up, thinking back on the good times I had with my peoples in the boro really uplifts my spirits and gives me the strength I need to go on. I am looking forward to seeing everybody so much! Sure, I may be a thirteenth grader, but I don't care. College is cool, but nothing can replace the friendships I forged in high school. I really believe they will be the ones that will be my friends for life. We were an amazing class made up of amazing and closely knit people. I guess my joy right now can also be traced back to my renewed faith. Through the stress and temptations to slack in my faith and devotion that college presents, I lost sight of exactly how I got here and why I have so many blessings in this school, my family, my friends, and, of course, my soul mate, Steph. Here lately, however, I have really been able to see more clearly where I am supposed to be and have been able to feel God pushing me more powerfully back onto the right paths. Its not like I became some horrible person. I simply let up on my prayers and my bible reading and my giving thanks to God for what I have. You know, the little things that hold our lives together and make the world make sense. This bible quote also really inspired me, "for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith" (I John 5:4). After this, all my stresses seemed too small to kill myself with worry over. So thank all of you for being such amazing friends, and thank God for blessing me with you and with Vanderbilt and with my family and with the girl of my dreams. I can't wait to see everybody this summer. Until then, take care and good luck with finals.
